Little Fields is a pint-size flower farm and floral design studio on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Using organic and sustainable practices, we are returning an acre of industrial corn and soybean field to an abundant piece of earth. We grow flowers of cut, heirloom, and native varieties in Kent County, with plans for a second field in Talbot County starting this fall. We aim to honor the wild beauty of this ancient landscape and to celebrate its singular sense of place.
For friends, for families, for farmers’ markets and florists, and most importantly, for ourselves. For no better reason than just because.
Me, on the left. I was born and raised here along this quiet creek off the Chesapeake Bay. When I’m not in the field or wrangling flowers, I work as a writer, so expect to find me waxing rhapsodic about this knuckles-deep journey along the way.
Hooper, on the right. He’s our farm dog and right-hand dude. He also likes digging in dirt, plus any chance to swim, retrieve, or roll in stinky things.
